Pokemon Champions Sun Team Guide | Fire Pressure and Speed Control
Sun teams use weather to increase pressure and punish slow defensive plans.
Full guide
Sun teams use weather to increase pressure and punish slow defensive plans.
Core Roles
- Sun setter.
- Fire attacker.
- Secondary attacker that benefits from sun.
- Speed control.
- Water and Rock answer.
- Flexible support.
Upgrade Path
Start with stable weather plus one main attacker. Add narrow tech only after the team loses to the same matchup repeatedly.
Turn Plan
- Set sun only when the next action uses it.
- Use speed control or protection so the Fire attacker does not trade badly.
- Keep a second attacker ready for Water, Rock, or opposing weather.
- Save the weather setter if the opponent can change weather later.
What Usually Stops Sun
- Rain or another weather effect removes the damage advantage.
- Rock and Water pressure can force the main attacker out.
- Protect can waste the limited turn that was meant to secure a knockout.
- A team with only Fire damage becomes easy to resist.
Test the final six in Team Builder and use Attack Coverage to check whether the moves can still hit when sun is gone.
