September 10, 2026 — Current update

Version 1.2.0 was released on Nintendo Switch systems on September 8 (September 9 in UTC+8). It adds M-C Pokémon and items. Politoed loses Pound; Archaludon loses Mirror Coat and Metal Burst. Slash is available; Wish and Strength Sap each change from 12 to 8 PP. View Log and Selection Support were added, alongside bug fixes.

Ranked Season M-6 runs from 2026-09-09 02:00 UTC to 2026-10-07 01:59 UTC, using Regulation M-C. Champion Tier and Master Ball Tier ranks 1–3 open on September 16. Finish at least one match with a win or loss to qualify for season rewards.

Regulation M-C runs until 2026-12-02 01:59 UTC. The full roster is now announced: 24 new species and six Mega Evolutions. The database contains 342 playable entries, grouping Squawkabilly plumage variants together. Duplicate held items are prohibited; timers are 20 minutes total, 7 minutes per player, 45 seconds per turn and 90 seconds for preview.

2027 Global Challenge I: registration runs September 18 at 02:00 UTC–September 28 at 01:59 UTC. Battles run September 25 at 02:00 UTC–September 28 at 01:59 UTC, with M-C Doubles. Complete at least three decided matches to qualify for Archaludon; check the published ranking in game before claiming it. Teams are locked on entry; withdrawal and re-entry are possible only before the event starts.

September 4, 2026

• The official Regulation M-C preview confirms that it runs from September 9 through December 2. It keeps the M-A and M-B pool and initially confirms Rillaboom, Baxcalibur, Mega Absol Z, Mega Lucario Z, and Mega Garchomp Z; the official notice says full details will follow later.
• Official 2026 Worlds results name Takuma Yamazaki as VGC Masters World Champion and Hiroshi Onishi as runner-up, with the complete top eight now recorded on the Worlds page.
• Version 1.1.5 remains the latest numbered update. The August shared codes and mailbox gifts have expired, while earned Worlds item codes, the commemorative roster, and the M-5 Battle Pass retain their separately listed deadlines.

August 5, 2026

• Ranked Battles Season M-5 began and is scheduled through September 9 under Regulation M-B. The official M-B notice was updated on August 5 to extend the regulation from its original September 2 end date through September 9, so the dates now agree.
• Battle Pass M-5 added Chandelure and Chandelurite to the regular route. The premium route adds Excadrill, Scrafty, Excadrillite, Scraftinite, and the Corbeau outfit.
• Registration for the August Monthly Challenge runs August 14–24; the Regulation M-B Singles event runs August 21–24. Completing three matches qualifies for Alolan Raichu, 100 Quick Coupons, and the MCS 08/2026 Challenger title.
• The August 5 maintenance completion notice reports additional bug fixes but does not assign them a separate version number. Nintendo's update history lists 1.1.5, released August 4, as the latest numbered update.

August 4, 2026

• Version 1.1.5 fixed several unspecified issues. Nintendo requires this update for online features on Nintendo Switch systems; Apple's App Store also lists version 1.1.5 for iOS and iPadOS.

July 24, 2026

• The official Regulation M-B Double Battles overview reviewed the current metagame, leading Pokémon, major archetypes, and playable Battle Team IDs.

July 13-15, 2026

• Official strategy articles were published for Mega Malamar, Mega Raichu X, and Mega Mawile.
• The 2027 Championship Series update added new schedules, Championship Point rules, age divisions, device policy, and qualification information.

July 8, 2026

• Ranked Battles Season M-4 began and continues to use Regulation M-B through August 5.
• Battle Pass M-4 added Sceptile to the regular pass and Blaziken and Swampert to the Premium Battle Pass, together with their Mega Stones.

July 7, 2026

• Version 1.1.4 fixed several unspecified issues.

June 17, 2026

• Pokemon Champions launched on iOS and Android with cross-platform play.
